Sierra Wave Volleyball Club competes within the membership as SCSN USA Volleyball Junior Players. These are USAV/RVA sanctioned events.
Although volleyball experience is not mandatory, it is helpful as we focus on intensity and a lower number of players on our teams to provide:
- Small group/ one-on-one coaching;
- Maximum player touches on the volleyball;
- Development and improvement of individual position-specific skills;
- Encouragement of maximum player effort and growth
- High-speed, competitive matches at tournaments
Club teams practice twice a week; days/times vary based on gym availability.
Tournament Schedules may vary year to year, but we like to attend one tournament a month, December through May.
Players and their families are independently responsible for all travel and accommodations to tournament sites.

Payments Schedule: Make payable to Sierra Wave Volleyball Club. These payments cover jersey and swag, tournament entry fees, insurance, donations in the form of equipment to BUHS for the gym rental, and coach expenses.

Tourney Dates: If you cannot make a tournament date, you must tell the coaches and director ASAP. There will be no prorated fees if you miss a tournament.

for more information about possible locations of the tournaments, we usually only know the location on the Tuesday before. This is club: all travel is on your own, we do not travel together as a team, but of course, you can make plans with each other. Further, at the tournaments, there is an admission fee, and a parking fee, and sometimes no outside food or drink is allowed. All of the specific details will be emailed out the week of the tournament.
